Please join some fellow club members Saturday, the 6th of October for the Reno Celtic Celebration.  We have been invited to bring our beautiful cars to park on the lawn during the event.  It will be held at the Bartley Ranch Regional Park from approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  We need to be there by 8:30 AM to park.  Please let Randy Wright or Mike Glass know if you can make it.  Those that bring a jaguar get in free.  Thus far we have about 10 cars coming.  There will be food, games, music and fun for all.

October’s Dinner/Meeting
Theme: MURDER MYSTERY DINNER

At our last dinner/meeting the idea of a  "Murder Mystery" dinner to go along with the October Halloween theme was brought up as a suggestion for October’s dinner/meeting.  It was an overwhelming response to do this.  Don, (Snowshoe), Thompson recommended the Silver Peak.  I went and checked this restaurant out and it is perfect – we will be in the old attic, which is an eerie setting a Murder Mystery Dinner!

What is a Murder Mystery Dinner you might ask?  These will be prepackaged games, a different game for each table of 8 people.  These games come with a murder theme such as: "A Murder on the Grill" or "Lethal Luau" to mention a couple of the games we will play.  As it says on the game box, "Everyone's a suspect when murder is on the menu.” These games come with everything you need to serve up mystery, murder and fun!  Each person will be given a pre-assigned character in the murder mystery played at his or her table.  The object is to figure out who at your table is the murderer – it may be you!  Each person/character will be given a script to read at the dinner.  This is a self-guided game so no need to worry about what to say or do.  Just come and have FUN!

 

Example: “A Murder on the Grill” game

"Johnny Angle, a mechanic who can fix anything on wheels.  When he's not covered in engine grease, Johnny is cruisin' chicks in his 57 Chevy" (It should say his 1969 XKE!).

"Costume Suggestion: Black leather jacket, white t-shirt (with blood-like red spot), tight jeans, slicked hair and dark sunglasses.  Fake switchblade."

When you reply and say "YOU ARE GOING", I will assign you a table to sit at and what your table's murder theme is.  I will also let you know who your character is, the character’s background information and costume suggestions.  It is a lot of fun to come in costume but you DO NOT have to.

I NEED to KNOW what you are going to choose for dinner. The restaurant requires a pre-order.  On the back, is our menu selection – please choose one entrée and let me know. I need everyone to give me a 2-week notice if you are or are not coming to this dinner. I need to send out your “Character” information to you so will need extra time to do this.  Thank you in advance for your help on this. For those of you who do not want to participate in a game, you can still come and enjoy a wonderful dinner with us.
