Garden Tea Party
at
Peter & Patricia Smith's
1206 No. Nevada St.
Carson City, NV
Corner of West John St.
The June 13th Jaguar Club meeting will be at our house, an afternoon dress up
garden tea party. 1:00-4:00 We did this several years back, all in our Sunday
best. The historical society is having its garden tour here 2 weeks before and
the place will be as spiffy as possible. On display will be an authentic 1917
Sears Economy Hit and Miss engine and a 1962 bomb shelter. Small British cars
may be parked in the front yard.
Description of the house:

We
will serve drinks and finger food and we ask for pot luck contributions. Think
Jane Austen or Dickens English Garden Party. Maybe Henry James, Wodehouse or
Dylan Thomas if you have the fortitude. Hats or bonnets are highly recommended.
Croquet, ice cold gin, Pimms' Cups, Hot and iced teas, sherry, stout and
bitters. And your contributions.
Please respond Yea or Nay for your attendance and to confirm pot luck
contributions of finger food, salads, tea sandwiches and cake.
Nevada Street is 2 block west of Carson St., Highway 395 through the center of
town.
John St. is one block north of Williams St, which is Highway 50 heading for
Fallon from the center of town, the corner with the Chevron and the ARCO
stations.
