THE SECOND ANNUAL PROGRESSIVE DINNER On September 10, 2005 we held our 2nd Annual Progressive Dinner. We had 32 members signed up for this memorable day. There were 15 cars that paraded together (most of the time!) from house to house. We had 12 Jaguars, a BMW (Iain's Jag was in the shop - darn!), Randy Wright drove his Aston Martin and guests, Alex & Philis Evans, drove their Ferrari . We said they could join us but would have to come at the end of our group :>) I know of one member who at a stop light had a neighboring car ask about our procession. He was told that we were the one and only "Reno Jaguar Club". He said our cars looked great! We also had a neighbor of the Buxton's stop by their home when we were about to leave for the dessert portion of our dinner. He said he had a Jaguar and was interested in joining our group! YES! This was a five course meal:
This dinner could never have happened without the commitment and hard work of
the following people: A very special THANK YOU goes out to both Larry Lenker & Tony Mitchell. Both men carried off their end of the Progressive Dinner without their wives. Lynn had to go to Las Vegas to be with her ailing mother but before she left she made the appetizers ahead of time. The day of the party Larry assembled & arranged them like a pro. Terry Mitchell had to leave on a trip unexpectedly and Tony followed through like an expert as well. Just goes to show that the party does go on even when the men are in charge. Thank you gentlemen for your excellent help. Here is a picture Diary of this Progressive Dinner:
