The 1st Reno Jaguar Club Garage Sale

 

On September 23, 2006 the Reno Jaguar Club hosted their first garage sale at Gary & Kathy Dyer’s medical building at 890 Mill Street Reno.  It was stationed in the center of their parking lot.

 

The members that showed up to help were:

Everyone that came donated items and spread them out on ground clothes and tables.

It was a very short sale – 8:00 AM to Noon but we still managed to have quite a few people show up for the sale.  We didn’t make much money but we sure had a fun time visiting and showing off  & talking about our cars.  Harry had just gotten his new 2001 XKR – what a beauty!

At 11:30, a half hour early, the truck from Gospel Mission showed up to take our remaining items away to their store.  Everyone scrabbled to collect the items and carried them to the men waiting at the truck.

 

We all had worked up quite an appetite so went over to Bertha Miranda’s for a delicious lunch.  What a nice way to end a fun day.

 

It was suggested that we do this again next year but this time in a residential area where we would have more drive by garage hunters!
