Reno Jaguar Club
Dinner Meeting
Aztecas Mexican Grill
July 12, 2008

President Larry Richardson opened the meeting by thanking Lela Moore for selecting such a great location for the dinner. Twenty eight people were in attendance.

Upcoming events:
Larry reminded everyone of the following events:

A trip to Washington, California hosted by members Jeff and Sherron Egner on August 22 and 23.

The Europe Driving Tour is scheduled for September 1-13.  A final meeting will be held in early August.

A 25th anniversary celebration for the Reno Jaguar Club will be held in either October or November, at the National Automobile Museum.  A reminder was given that members of the RJC can visit the Museum anytime free of charge.

RJC 25th anniversary car badges and lapel pins
A photo of the final design was distributed.  The badge will be 3 inches in diameter for mounting on the bumper grill.  It can also be used as a paperweight.

RJC Christmas party
Mina Dibitonto has looked into a number of possibilities and put a hold on three restaurants:

The 19th Hole, for Thursday, December 4th

The Siena for Saturday December 19th

Hidden Valley Country Club for Saturday, December 6th

A show of hands voted for holding the dinner at the Hidden Valley Country Club.  An informal vote was taken to have the dinner served, rather than buffet style.

Introductions
Club members introduced themselves, and their cars.  New member Harry Papas, who was attending his first meeting, shared information on his many cars. Larry Richardson introduced his guest, Russell Bond.

Other Business
Old issues of the Cat Talk newsletter were circulated.  Past president Dave Minedew noted that as of three years ago he had organized all the Cat Talks and other records from 1986 on and gave them to Mike Johnson.  Vice President Patti Wilder suggested that sometime in the future, the Cat Talks be scanned into the Club web site.  Everyone agreed that Webmaster Rich Wilder has done an amazing job with the web site.

Treasurer's Report
Dave Minedew reported that the Club has $4,286 in its operating account and $176 in the Village Green account.  Money from operating will be transferred to the Village Green account prior to the next event.

Raffle Tickets
Belmont Reid was the winner of the 50/50 raffle.  He received $35.

August Dinner
The next dinner will be an all-American style picnic potluck at the Brownings on August 9th.  Click here for the announcement.
