Reno Jaguar Club
May 31, 2008 Dinner Meeting

The 31 May 2008 meeting was held at an old classic Reno restaurant: Rapscallion.  There, a small but vocal group took over the brunch room set up to accommodate the attendees.  From fine wines through seafood and steak entrees to the traditional bread pudding the establishment exceeded all expectations. The night was filled with continuous and stimulating conversations, and literally was a family dinner party all night until the brief business meeting was conducted. Carl Fuetsch won the 50-50 and immediately turned the spoils over to Elizabeth.  After dinner we went out to the parking lot to admire some of the members' cars. Notably Ron Pizer showed off the Vanden Plas he recently bought for Julie. George Taber left the S-type home and brought the XK8. Our thanks to Ron and Julie Pizer for setting up the evening. We are looking forward to Rex and Dixie Black's BBQ at Reds 395 in two weeks, and a special note the Prez will be in a Hawaiian Aloha shirt for that meeting and invites all to join him in comfortable Hawaiian garb for the night.

Third Annual Garage Sale
May 17, 2008

On Saturday May 17, 2008 The Reno Jaguar Club held it’s third annual garage sale hosted by Tony and Terry Mitchell to coincide with the Saddlehorn Community garage sale.  The day was very warm even hot at times, which may have attributed to the low turnout both from club members and the shopping public.  A HUGE THANK YOU to the Mitchell’s for hosting.  The club had a net profit of only $85.  We still had a good time and Tony provided coffee and donuts and a pizza lunch with beverages.  Those club members attending were Tony & Terri Mitchell, our hosts, Gary & Kathy Dyer, Larry & Ellie Richardson, Harry & Pat Keast, Jack & Jane Mitchell, Mike & Kathy Glass, and while the Wilder’s and Minedew’s could not attend, but provided some goodies to sell.  We had a gentleman show up not to shop but just to find out more info about the club and look for some technical help with his pristine Series I E-Type Roadster.
