Vice President Larry Richardson welcomed everyone and thanked Pat and
Jack Campbell for arranging for tonight’s dinner at the Rapscallion. It
was a great venue and meal. Twenty seven members were in attendance.
Larry noted that this would be a very short meeting.
A Day on the Village Green – Larry encouraged RJC members to send in
their registration for this three day event to be held at the Cal Neva.
For the first time, there will be a slalom event at Slide Mountain.
Instructional classes will be held prior to the event, and the RJC
website has information on the rules for safety. Chief Judge Gerard Garra said that currently they have received 14-15
registrations. He anticipates that in the next one to two weeks club
registrations will be forthcoming. (He said he hoped he would have his
car running – he’s thinking of a new class called “towed cars!” Gerard
also noted that they need volunteers for score tabulations. He believes
that Kathy Dyer will be helping this year, as she did for the last DVG.
Two to three people should be plenty to handle this task. Treasurer Dave Minedew reported that the general fund has $3,500 and
that a request has been made to transfer $1,500 into the Village Green
account. President Mike Glass has arranged for a Scottish pipe band to
play at the event for $500. New members Shirley and Larry McNeil were welcomed to the Club. They
live in the Caughlin Ranch area. They are from Chicago, and then before
that Nova Scotia. Dave Minedew was credited as tagging their Jag. Larry
said it was a lovely dinner and they enjoyed meeting everyone. Other
members introduced their guests – both family and friends. Larry adjourned the meeting noted the room was available for as long
as the Club wanted to remain. Minutes by Sunny Minedew
