19th Hole Restaurant
Reno
Tony and Terry Mitchell were the host-organizers of this month' s RJC Dinner
Meeting. As they have done before, they arranged a lovely evening in the
beautiful Lakeridge Golf Course setting of the 19th Hole Restaurant. Those not
suffering from friggatriskaidekaphobia (hint: it was Friday the 13th), enjoyed
convivial cocktails and social time in the lounge before settling in to the
dining room. Everyone reported their meals were delicious, whether surf or turf.
Dave Minedew served as meeting leader, in lieu of President George and
Vice-President Patti. The agenda was brief: President George and Marj
plan to be back in time for the next meeting. Dave thanked Tony Mitchell
again for the very informative Tech Session on paint and finish, held, once
again in Gary and Kathy Dyer's "monster garage". Dave was pleased to
report the the Club has money in the treasury. He shared the JCNA North
America announcement that there is an opening
for a treasurer. It's time to start thinking about our Day on the Village
Green. Mike Glass is the Chairman. Sam Dibitonto knows of a
developer from San Diego, who is selling a "houseful" of Jags and Jag
parts. Sam will share pictures when he gets them. Mick and Lani are
hosting our September dinner meeting, which will be September 10 at Firkin
and Wolf in the Sierra Summit Mall. Flyers were distributed. Mark your
calendars and watch for updates. After close of the meeting, everyone
said good night until we meet again.
