February 12, 2010
Pinocchio's, Sparks On one of our warmer nights 22 Reno
Jaguar Members met at Pinocchio's for dinner buffet.
President's Report:
President, George Tabor call the meeting to order at 8:50 PM. George thanked the
members for driving all the way out to Sparks, Spanish Springs.
He went on to say that he will be having his assigned dinner in April also in
Spanish Springs at Red Hawk Golf Course.
George and the members present thanked Kathy Glass for the outstanding job of
setting up this February, Valentines, dinner. Kathy gave each of the ladies a
heart box with candy in it and told them to share with their husbands.
A wonderful lady by the name of Paula Elliot joined us for cocktails. Patti
Wilder had met her on Ebay! Patti is selling the clubs surplus 25th anniversary
pins and badges on line. So far she has sold one to Poland and two to
Pittsburgh, PA. She also sold one of our pins to Paula who just so happens to
live in Reno! After some correspondence by email Paula said she would like to
meet our club and become a member! When Paula left she said that she would be
sending in her membership registration ASAP. Welcome Paula!
Kathy Glass also had a guest, Maritza who is from Costa Rica. She too was
welcomed by the club.
George thanked Patti for arranging to have Steve Kennedy our SW JCNA
Representative vote our proxy votes at the upcoming election
Treasury Report - Treasurer Dave Minedew
$3,138 in the Operating account
$1,200 in the "ADVG" account
It was discussed and passed that the RJC will reimburse member, Iain Buxton,
$840 the amount remaining of the money the club owes him for his above and
beyond the call of duty of designing and having the 25th Anniversary badges and
pins made. Dave Minedew stated that this amount would not hurt our clubs
treasury. President George Tabor stated that to make up this money that each
member hosting a monthly dinner meeting also have some sort of money maker, be
it a raffle or some other fun money raiser. It was also mentioned that in the
dinner/meeting invitation members could be asked to bring items for a raffle.
The inventory for the remaining badges and pins is:
46 - 25th Anniversary Pins
12 - 25th Anniversary Badges
George was under the opinion that the RJC makes money on the "ADVG".
Treasurer Dave Minedew said on the contrary we have a deficit.
Webmaster, Rich Wilder wanted to know how the membership monies were
distributed. Dave said that:
For every membership $22 goes to the JCNA - this doesn't matter if it is for a
single membership of dual membership
Dave said he just sent off a check for $752 to JCNA
Membership Report:
Harry Keast, Membership Chairperson, stated that the RJC lost 2 members: The
Prices and Mr Melrose. He went on to say we gained to new memberships: Mr.
Wellman and Mr. Yamamoto
It was noted that a member submitted an article in the Reno Gazette Journal
and it was PUBLISHED!!! Dave & Sunny Minedew have tried several times to no
avail.
Because of this article Mike Glass got a phone call from a viewer interested in
our club!!! Way to go. We think Gary Dyer, RJC member, may of been the one to
have success!
Harry Keast wants our club to have more exposure with our cars to draw in
more members
Vice Presents Report - Patti Wilder
She mentioned that we were still in the planning stages of different RJC trips.
Due to the weather it is not a good time to be taking our cars on road trips.
Open Membership Discussion:

Santa Maria on April 26 - 30, 2010.

club enjoys it.
