2007 Reno Celtic
Celebration

On Saturday October 6th, 2007 some members of The Reno Jaguar Club attended The 17th Annual Reno Celtic Celebration at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno.  Randy Wright, our club’s founder, had arranged for us to have up-front parking and free entry to the event.  We had ten Jaguar’s and an Aston Martin.  Nice turnout for short notice!  The day started out a little chilly with temperatures in the low 40’s but soon warmed up under sunny skies.  Members in attendance were Randy Wright with his 1967 E-Type, his 1996 XJS Jaguar, and his 1997 Aston Martin DB7, Alex Evans is his wife’s 2004 XKR, Mike Glass in his 1967 Mark II “Willow”, Don Johnson in his 1970 XKE Roadster, Frank and Janice Hamilton, although they couldn’t stay, brought their 1963 E-Type, former member James Alder brought his XK120 racer to display, Frank and Joan, friends of Randy Wright, brought their S-Type, and late in the day Norman (another friend of Randy’s) brought their extraordinary XJ6 Series Three with only 14,000 original miles.  Our cars brought plenty of interest to the street and many people were drooling over our beauties!

The Celebration featured many vendors, Irish and Scottish Dancers, Bagpipe Music, and the Highland Games with men and ladies alike participating, and some tasty food.  The costumes were terrific and we had a great time!  Thanks Randy!
