The McCloud Dinner Train Overnight Trip

APRIL 16 - 17, 2005

The Dinner Train trip to McCloud California was more fun then I can even describe!  Carolyn & Charlie Manchester, Dave & Sunny Minedew and Rich & Patti Wilder, followed each other and had a brief stop for lunch in Susanville, CA.  Jeff & Sherron Egner meet them at the McCloud Hotel.  The McCloud Hotel is a 4 star hotel and when you visit it you will know why.  The hotel was something that was from a different era, the rooms were quaint and very clean, and they even had a complimentary wine time. The staff had a special table waiting just for the RJC when they went in for their breakfast which was included in this deal!

The dinner on the train was more than any of us could ask for.  The food was wonderful, the scenery incredible but what really was a surprise is that we had a "Private" dining car all to ourselves.  All the other dinner guest on the train that night were so jealous of the RJC.  I heard one diner refer to us as the "Presidential Car".  The staff did such a nice job serving us and even went out of their way to decorate our table with little "car" confetti.
